Can life experiences alters the personality of a person?

Aparna Anand

Researches all over the world claim that the inborn personality traits influence ones on future progress rather than any other life experiences. On the contrary, I believe experience is the best teacher, each and every situation one handles grooms the personality of a real man.

The most significant reason of my view point is that many students are encouraged by the the biographies of great people or scientists and tries to incorporate the success secret into their lives which helps to mold the inborn habits. For instance, Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography "My experiments with Truth" and Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam's, "Wings of Fire " had been firing the young minds all over the world with curiosity to learn further by following the path of righteousness. For instance, recent research statistics indicates that 80 percent of people who read success stories has less chance to go through failures. They suspect it right before and avoid the hidden havocs.

that they gain through different sessions of stringent training alters the personality. To elaborate my view, the military offices has a peculiar style in all walks of life like diet, eating habit, body postures, walking style and so on, those are grabbed by their years of hardship. Henceforth, experience has an upper hand on one’s personality.

To conclude, I strongly believe that the characteristics acquired by birth of an individual can significantly be altered by one’s own experiences or by knowing the life of others through books like autobiographies.
